Micah's first bath

Micah moo, this picture pretty much sums up your thoughts on bath time!
You were not having it, but we were able to get you to settle down finally.

As long as Momma had my finger in your mouth, you were fine.

And these two girls were so happy to help with your bath.
They both poured the warm water on you to make sure you
stayed nice and warm.
Your sisters think the world of you.
You are one blessed little boy!
{A clean one too}

2 weeks old

Today was your 2 week Well Baby with Dr. Brown
Weight: 8lbs 14 oz.
Height: 21 inches

You are doing wonderful. You nurse constantly and are gaining weight nicely. You have moved up to Size 1 diapers and are in some 0-3 month clothes already. You sleep a lot during the day, but are up every hour in the night, unless Momma falls asleep with you on my chest. Then you sleep for a good 2-3 hours.

You are definitely a Momma's boy. Daddy wants to love on you all the time, but he usually has to walk around the house, bouncing you to keep you happy. But hand you to Momma...and you quiet right up.

Your sisters are in love. Camden loves to hold you and she is sneaking kisses all the time. Berkleigh loves to talk to you and tries her hardest to console you when you are crying. I can't wait to see you interact with them when you get a bit bigger.

We all love you Micah Moo!

Micah's Birth Day

Mommy was scheduled to be induced
on Wednesday, July 27th, 2011.
My original due date was August 2nd,
but after my last ultra sound they changed it to July 28th.

Mommy and Daddy got up really early.
We had to be at the hospital at 6am.
Papa and Nana came into town from Florida earlier that week and stayed with your sisters.
We arrived on time,
Mommy got comfy in our room
and they started my Pitocin around 6:40 am.
I wasn't really progressing much and was still comfortable.
Dr. Sherman came in to break my water at 7:30
and that's when we found out that I had a lot of amniotic fluid.
So much that you weren't able to drop down and
that is why I didn't go into labor on my own.

Papa, Nana, Camden and Berkeligh came up to visit later in the morning.
Your sisters were so very excited.
They had so many questions.
What is that mommy? (the IV)
When is Micah coming? How do you feel?
What will he look like? When can he walk?
I was so happy to see your sisters and it made the time pass by easier.

Mrs. Jamie Allen. came up for the morning to visit, too.
She is one of Mommy's closest friends here in Texas.
I was glad to have a friend on your big day.
She brought you the most beautiful basket of clothes.
She has made sure you are a styling little boy!

Around lunch time I decided to get up and sit in the rocking chair.
I was only about 4-5 cm and was ready to see you.
Daddy went with your sisters to eat and Mrs. Jamie and I sat and talked.
Your nurse, Desi, would check on my frequently and kept increasing my pitocin.
And then it hit me.

Finally, i had to ask everyone to leave and it was time for my epidural.
I was 5-6 cm dilated and very uncomfortable.
I got my epidural and it was wonderful on my right side,
but not nearly as strong on my left.
My left side is where you loved to lay.
You were wedged nicely between my left hip and ribs.

Dr. Sherman was wonderful. She checked on me at lunch and then at the end of her day.
She decided around 5pm to go for a run and then she would be back to check again.
I had sent your sisters and Papa and Nana home before dinner time.

And the sometime around 6 pm I was ready!
Actually, you were ready. I had been ready.
After about 30 mins of pushing, you arrived.
Born at 6:38 pm

You were gorgeous.
Mommy and Daddy cried and you screamed!
It was wonderful.
Daddy cut your cord and I kissed all over you.
Then they took you to the warmer and checked you out.
Mrs. Angela Mehl and Joshua were waiting outside.
Papa, Nana and your sisters arrived about 20 mins after you arrived.

You were so alert. You listened to every little noise.
Your eyes were wide open.
Your color was great and you were just perfect.

Daddy and I were so happy.
Our family was complete now.
What a blessing you are Micah!

I think your sisters would agree with us.
They couldn't get enough of you.
We love you all.

Losing teeth and jokes....

Tonight Camden, you pulled out your 7th tooth..... I can handle just about anything, but not loose teeth. That is you and Daddy's job, but you were able to do it without his help tonight! So I guess 7 teeth......7 years old........Tooth # 8 must wait until after Saturday when you are 8! Seriously? Eight years old.....When did you get so big?

And once everyone was in bed and quiet, Berkleigh, you strolled out to the kitchen,
"Mommy..."
"Berkleigh..you need to go back to bed..."
" I have a joke Mommy"
"Well, your joke will have to wait until tomorrow."
"It is a fast joke.....Why did the toy cross the road?"
" I dunno Berkleigh, why did the toy cross the road?"
" Cuz he wanted to go see the chicken...."
Then of course you chuckle and slap your knee....
"Night Mommy"
Never to hear another noise from again.......

I love you girls!

Easter 2011

Easter at our house always consist of the normal egg coloring and basket opening Easter morning.

Your Daddy is always playing Jesus the weekend of Easter @ Last Days~ Camden, you wanted your picture with Daddy, but Berkleigh Boo , you wanted nothing to do with the "blood"....I don't blame you! Both of you girls participated this year @ Last days as well. You were dressed up and helped at the threshing floor. I loved seeing you girls participate and pray that you will always want to share Jesus with others. Happy Easter~

Family Time @ The Fair!

The South Texas State Fair is in town and Dax was off this last Saturday....so we loaded up and headed out for the day. What a wonderful day full of rides, laughing, chatting, face painting, great food, cotton candy and just care free family time. We all had a blast and are sun burnt to prove it. Making memories...

This is a picture Dax and the girls took from the top of the ferris wheel.
And here's another....yep that's Momma...5 months pregnant and not able to ride anything....but as you can see I was keeper of the lemonade and cotton candy......I had a great time eating and listening to all of the joyful giggles coming from the rides. Can't wait for next year~

SOCCER TIME

C started soccer practice last week and had her 2nd practice tonight and she is doing AWESOME!!! I am so proud of her. This is her first organized sport and really....first any sport. She has such a sweet spirit and I love that about her, but that is not the competitive edge her daddy tells me she needs to have on the field. Dax is very competitive and I "play to have fun"...therefore Dax always offers me up to the other team when we go out bowling. HA!
Tonight C scored a goal and all while a team mate, a tall one I might add,was neck and neck with her. She got right in there and wasn't afraid of the ball or getting kicked....all while keeping her sweet spirit and great sportsmanship... I think this is my prayer for her life. I want her face this life with no fear and experience it with a smile and with the Godly spirit and compassion he has rooted in her. I think we are going to like soccer :)
